This is a postcard the size of half a normal paper page, pretty much. It came with a calender of the city of Ivoti, in my state, Rio Grande do Sul. It’s called the city of flowers because of the japanese colony and everyone taking so much care of their gardens they leave appointments to water the garden! o.o
Seriously, my mom went there to teach the school teachers and during the break all teacher went away to water their gardens! Amazing, eh? But mom said it was the most beautiful city full of flowers everywhere. Anyway, that’s why the flowers are in the corners of all postcards. It was like that: a calender and each month image was detachable and behind it there was the description of the picture and the city of Ivoti. I sent a couple, I hope people didn’t DISLIKED them, because they’re pretty unique postcards, with a much softer paper (not carton) and size (very big). Still have a lot of them :P

I loved this card. It’s art from teenagers and young adults who had this course and they launched these postcards with their art. Imagine a teenager did this amazing oil painting! I loved this image a lot! Too bad they have almost NO space to write in, I still have a couple of them, with different artwork though.

Except when the postoffices make postcards like this one! :)
I loved this one so much, I’m afraid they might be gone already, they’re animals from the swamp area in Brazil called Pantanal, wich is very rich in biodiversity. They even released a collection of stamps of the same collection. I sent it to a children’s school class, I remember that much, cause I thought it would be the best card for them, so they could learn about the animals we have ^__^It was REALLY heart warming to see a whole class made an account in postcrossing, it’s the BEST idea, must be so cool for them to get postcards from around the world! <3

Images from my city! It’s not the prettiest card from my city, but I’m so unfortunate that here in Brazil we REALLY don’t have pretty postcards, it’s REALLY hard to find, REALLY!

This is the same beautiful botanical garden of Curitiba-Paraná, but at night.
By the way I’m sorry the pictures are not as half as good as the ones I was posting, but they’re very old postcards and I didn’t had a good camera back then :P
Like the place?

Today the postcards that I have sent. Unfortunatelly that was before I started keeping a record of all my postcards exchanges, so I don’t remember where they went to. :(
Anyway, this is a postcard I got in one of my favorite cities, if not THE favorite city of Brazil, it’s in Paraná state, the city’s called Curitiba. This is the botanical garden of there, a GORGEOUS beautiful place with lots of cherry trees since this city has a lot of japanese immigrants.
