The World In Paper

We are a couple of philatelists from Brazil (Anaclara) and the Netherlands (Daniël) who continued our families stamp collections. We are both in Postcrossing and enjoy postcards, franks, first day covers and all kinds of things related to writing letters. We also happen to be (surprise!) big nerds who enjoy (not necessarily in that order) comics, online games, books, and photography. We hope you enjoy this tumblr and spread the word. Oh, we also like to call ourselves the Queen and King of Hearts. ...yup.

  • THIS WEEK’S POSTCARD
Which will be many because of the Russian Week, starts with the obvious, this is a beautiful postcard I got from Russia. As a kid I always thought St. Petersburg church was the most beautiful princess castle I had ever seen! I really thought it was a catsle until someone told me it wasn’t, and then I decided to make it my imaginary fun princess castle and it still is :) <3
So pretty!
I got this one from Tanya, by the way, and the card says in the back:

Cathedral of the Ressurection (“Our Saviour-on-the-Spilled-Blood”). 1833-1907
