So, we’re very sorry we didn’t updated the website as promised but at least this time is for a real solid good reason:

WE’RE GETTING MARRIED!

Yes, me and Daniel are handfasting next month, on May, and we’re SO  busy preparing everything, you wouldn’t imagine how much work a wedding actually is, most of all when you’re DIY’ing a lot of things…….. >.<

So excuse us until June and we’ll see what we can do to update before that!

THIS WEEK’S FRANK

is a very cute first day cancellation for the release of a sheet of 1 stamp celerating this brazilian Foundation for blind people. I think it’s adorable!

THIS WEEK’S ENVELOPE

is from the U.S., issued in January 26th, 1961 as you can see and it’s a Mahatma Gandhi homage. It’s from my grandfather’s collection, hence the state of it. I believe that, after all his philatelic collection went trough, the years and humidity and dust, they’re in a pretty good shape, most of them. Well, I hope you enjoyed it. :)

THIS WEEK’S STAMP

is part of a very interesting collection from the U.S. with important designs and designers, there are several objects on the collection, this is one of them. As you can see it’s not a mint, but we don’t post only mints here on TWiP. It’s true the frank could be better, but sadly that’s not under our control. Still think the stamp is quite pretty and it’s a very modern idea. :)

THIS WEEK’S POSTCARD

is a beautiful piece sent to me from Portugal by Carlos. It’s the church of the templar castle, in the christ convent, in Tomar, Portugal. Carlos says Tomar was the headquarters of the templar’s order once.

Creepy and interesting, huh? An amazing photo.

this is another piece I got from the horses series.

These are magnificent! I love them maybe the best, these are all the ones I have from this series, the fox, the rabbit and the bear may be my favorites, I want the whole collection and a copy of them but mint.
